Rest in Peace, Mr. Eko

You were a good man, even if Others disagree. When life handed you lemons, you made lemon pulp with a club that had scripture carved into it. And who can blame you? Faux priest, warlord, murderer in the name of brotherly love, who will shepherd and protect the other survivors now that you are gone? You were one of our favorite characters on one of our favorite shows. Wednesday nights won’t be the same without you, but we’ll still keep pushing the button anyway. Peace.

Okay, when the blog first loaded up, the text that Jason had written to go with this photo did not load. I, not one of the rabid watchers of Lost, did not recognize the gentleman in the photo. Needless to say, I was very perplexed as to how this photo tied into Kelly's post on the business trip from hell. Was he the host of said post? If so, he looked sort of desperate, shall we say. Perhaps I would not blame that gentleman for being less that hostly. How relieved was I when I scolled up again and saw Jason's requiem on the dead character from the television show that people are sort of ridiculously fanatical about.

I called one of your interests "rabid" and "ridiculous" when? Perhaps you feel a little left out as the rest of America watches, hmmm?

At one time I was fairly certain that "Lost" was one of the best shows on television. Then Charlie said that it was just a soap opera where weird stuff happened to distract you from the fact it was a soap opera, and I haven't been entirely sure what to think since...

And, after all, it's only television. A great artistic medium? I don't think so. That would be blogging.
